Respect and anti-bullying notice
Last updated: 27 October 2026
1. Our commitment
Team Spirit is used by grassroots clubs to keep coaches, parents and guardians connected. The Feed, comments and reactions are visible to other members of your club or team, including parents of children. We expect everyone to help keep it a safe, positive and respectful place.
2. What is not acceptable
The following are not allowed anywhere in Team Spirit, including posts, comments, reactions and attendance notes:
- Bullying or intimidation, including repeated unkind, exclusionary or belittling behaviour.
- Harassment, abuse, threats or offensive, humiliating or insulting language.
- Discrimination or hate based on age, disability, gender, race, religion, belief, sexual orientation or any other characteristic.
- Public criticism, mocking or shaming of a child, parent, coach, referee or volunteer.
- Sharing personal information about another person (such as contact details or addresses) without their consent.
- Sharing photos or videos of children without the permission of their parent or guardian.
3. Keeping children safe
Many Team Spirit users are parents and guardians, and the children in your club may be affected by what is written here. Think about how a post or comment would feel to the child it concerns, and to their family, before you share it.
Coaches and club officials are expected to follow their club's safeguarding policy and the guidance of their national governing body in everything they do on Team Spirit.
4. Reporting a concern
If you see content that breaks this policy, or that worries you, use the Report option on the post or comment. Reports go to the club's owners and coaches and to the Team Spirit team, and we aim to review them promptly. You can also tell a coach or the club owner, or contact us at the email address below.
If you are worried about the safety or welfare of a child, speak to your club's welfare or safeguarding officer. If a child is in immediate danger, contact the emergency services without delay.
5. Blocking
If you don't want to see someone's posts, comments or reactions, you can block them from the menu on their post or comment. They won't be told, and you can unblock them at any time from Settings (web) or the Account screen (mobile). Blocking only changes what you see: to bring a concern to the club or to Team Spirit, please also use Report.
6. What happens if the policy is broken
Content that breaks this policy may be removed by a coach, a club owner or Team Spirit. Depending on how serious it is, a person's access to the Feed, a team or a club may be restricted or withdrawn, and serious concerns may be referred to the club's safeguarding lead or to the relevant authorities.
7. Acknowledging this notice
Before you use the Feed, we ask you to confirm that you have read and understood this notice. We keep a record of when you did so, the version you acknowledged, the platform you used, and basic technical details such as your IP address, so that clubs can show they asked every member to agree to these standards. If this notice changes in a meaningful way, we will ask you to acknowledge it again.
